WHAT IS QHHT®?

Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® (QHHT®) is a hypnosis method developed by Dolores Cannon through decades of work with clients around the world.

Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® (QHHT®) is a method of hypnosis developed by Dolores Cannon through decades of work exploring consciousness, past-life regression, and the experiences people reported while in deep states of hypnosis.

QHHT® uses relaxation and guided visualization to help you move beyond the busy, analytical thinking of everyday life and into a deeply relaxed state of awareness. Cannon referred to this as the somnambulistic state—a state she compared to the periods we naturally pass through just before falling asleep and just before fully waking.

During a session, you remain engaged in the experience and communicate verbally with your practitioner. Rather than being told what you should see or experience, you are guided with questions and encouraged to describe whatever arises for you.

AN EXPERIENCE UNIQUE TO YOU

There isn't one way that a QHHT® session is supposed to look or feel.

For some people, information may appear as vivid scenes or imagery. For others, the experience may be more subtle—thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, impressions, memories, or simply a sense of knowing.

A session may involve what is experienced or interpreted as another lifetime, a symbolic experience, a familiar place, or something completely unexpected. QHHT® traditionally incorporates past-life regression, but you don't need to arrive with a particular belief about reincarnation or try to make a past-life experience happen. The experience is allowed to unfold naturally from whatever arises during your session.

THE SUBCONSCIOUS OR HIGHER SELF

Another important part of QHHT® is what Dolores Cannon called the Subconscious, sometimes described within QHHT® as the Higher Self, Super Conscious, or a greater aspect of consciousness.

This use of the word “Subconscious” is specific to Cannon's framework and is not the same as the subconscious as the term is used in psychology or medicine.

During this portion of the session, I use the questions you have prepared beforehand to guide the conversation and explore the information that arises.

You may come with questions about your life, relationships, recurring patterns, direction, spiritual experiences, or things you've simply wondered about for a long time.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE “GOOD” AT HYPNOSIS

One of the most common concerns people have is: What if I can't be hypnotized? What if I don't see anything?

QHHT® isn't about performing, producing the “right” vision, or trying to have a profound experience.

Your role is simply to relax, communicate what you're experiencing, and allow the session to unfold without trying to analyze every detail while it's happening.

Most importantly, your experience belongs to you. My role as your practitioner is to guide you through the QHHT® process, listen, ask questions, and create space for exploration—not to decide what your experience means for you.

THE HYPNOSIS SESSION

Allowing the Experience to Unfold

After our interview, you'll get comfortable and I'll guide you into a deeply relaxed state using the QHHT® method.

From there, we allow your experience to unfold naturally. You may experience scenes, images, thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, memories, impressions, or simply a sense of knowing.

You don't need to make anything happen. My role is to guide you through the experience, ask questions about what you're perceiving, and follow where the session leads.

CONTACTING THE SC

Exploring Your Questions

An important part of the QHHT® process is contacting what Dolores Cannon called the Subconscious, or SC—also described within QHHT® as the Higher Self or a greater aspect of consciousness.

Once contact with the SC is established, I'll ask the questions we discussed during your interview. This is where we explore the questions you brought with you and follow the information that comes through during your session.

The SC may also be asked about the body, emotional experiences, recurring patterns, relationships, life direction, or other areas you would like to better understand.

This part of the session is guided by the questions you bring and by what unfolds naturally during your experience.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Time to Reflect

At the end of the hypnosis portion, I'll gently guide you back to your normal waking awareness. We'll spend some time talking about your experience before you leave.

The hypnosis portion of your session is audio recorded for you. Your recording is provided to you after the session so you can listen again in your own time. Details can sometimes be difficult to remember immediately afterward, and listening to your session again gives you an opportunity to revisit the experience at your own pace.

Your session remains private and confidential. Your experience, the information you share, and your recording are not shared publicly without your permission.

PLANNING FOR YOUR SESSION

A little preparation before your QHHT® session can help you arrive feeling comfortable and ready for the experience. You don't need to study hypnosis or prepare yourself in any special way, but there are a few things I'd like you to know beforehand.

PREPARE YOUR QUESTIONS

Before your session, make a written list of the questions you would like to explore.

Your questions can be about anything that feels meaningful or important to you—your life, relationships, recurring patterns, purpose or direction, spiritual experiences, health, dreams, experiences you haven't been able to explain, or simply things you've always wondered about.

Don't worry about wording them perfectly. Bring your list with you and we'll go through your questions together during your interview before the hypnosis portion begins.

YOUR SESSION IS PRIVATE

Your QHHT® session is a private, one-on-one experience. Guests, friends, partners, and family members do not attend or observe the session.

This gives you the privacy to speak openly during your interview and allows the hypnosis portion of your session to remain focused entirely on your experience.

Everything you share during your session is treated as private and confidential.

OPTIONAL READING

Five Lives Remembered by Dolores Cannon

If you'd like to learn more about Dolores Cannon and the beginnings of her work before your session, Five Lives Remembered is a great place to start.

The book shares some of Cannon's earliest experiences with past-life regression and provides background on the work that would eventually develop into QHHT®.

Reading it is completely optional. You don't need any prior knowledge of QHHT®, hypnosis, or Dolores Cannon's work to have a session.

THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION

Plan for approximately 5–6 hours together and avoid scheduling anything immediately afterward so we never need to watch the clock.

Wear comfortable clothing and eat normally before you arrive. Please avoid alcohol or recreational drugs before your appointment and keep caffeine to your normal amount rather than having extra.

Bring your written list of questions with you.

Most importantly, don't put pressure on yourself to have a particular kind of experience. You don't need to practice, perform, or make anything happen. Come with an open mind, your questions, and your own curiosity.
